Counselling in Schools - Tayside
As part of Scottish Government plans, all schools in Tayside now have access to counselling services for those aged 10 years and up. All schools aim to support children and young people as part of their approach to Getting it Right for Every Child.
Research shows that in most cases where children and young people experience mental health issues, they are best supported by adults who know them well. Our schools and counsellors work together to make sure counselling is used at the right time to support young people.
The school counselling service for Webster's High School and our cluster primary schools is provided by Place2Be. Further information can be found by clicking on the documents below. You may also find it helpful to have a look at the Place2Be website: https://www.place2be.org.uk/

We all have mental health and it is just as important as our physical health. There are a range of things that parents/carers can do to support young people with their mental health and wellbeing but sometimes young people need professional support and you should go to your GP for medical advice and guidance. This clip from The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families explains this:
