Similar as in S1-S3 each year pupils from S4-S6 in each subject are awarded for their effort, engagement, and achievement. These awards come in two types, Subject Merit Awards and Class Diligence Awards. 

Subject Merit Awards (National Level)

For each subject studied in S4-S6, the top 3 achieving pupils across the year are awarded the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd for that particular subject and Level. The information gathered to award the subject place is from Prelims, second prelims and assessments. (These awards are presented at the End of year Achievement Assemblies) 

Subject Merit Awards (Higher and Advanced Higher Level)

For each subject studied in S4-S6, the top 3 achieving pupils across the year are awarded the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd for that particular subject and Level. The information gathered to award the subject place is from Prelims, second prelims and assessments. (These Certificates are presented at the Annual Prizegiving ceremony) 

Subjects Diligence Certificates 

For each subject studied in S4-S6 pupils can be awarded a Diligence award for each of their subjects. These awards recognise continuing effort, endeavor, perseverance, or improvement in subjects across the year. (These awards are presented at the End of year Achievement Assemblies) 

These awards are not be based on the pupil's academic attainment or ability in a subject but recognise pupils who demonstrate commitment to our school Values of:

• Ambition
• Respect
• Kindness
• Appreciation 

These awards will begin in the new academic session 2024/25 to coincide with the launch of our updated values

The awards were setup in 2016 to recognise the achievements of pupils in their sport in and out-with school. Stand out pupils in the teams that have represented the school, volunteers who have given up their time throughout the school year to lead, support and organise extra-curricular activity and events in the school as well as help with the range of Active Schools events across the cluster.

We also recognise the commitment, dedication and achievements of pupils in their chosen sport(s) out-with school on a regional, national and international level with the Sports Personality of the Year.

Pupils are nominated for their achievements by staff, parents or club coaches and these nominations are collated and then put out to vote for pupils and staff before the winner is announced on the day.

We invite pupils that have represented the school and shown commitment to school sport as well as staff and community club and partners who have also had an impact on school sport at Webster’s.

Each year we have a guest speaker who is local to Kirriemuir or Angus and has progressed and achieved success in their sport. The guest speaker provides great insight to pupils and staff about what can be achieved with hard work, dedication and commitment. We also receive fantastic support from local businesses to help fund the medals and trophies that we present on the day.

The awards we present are:

• Player of the Year for the teams that have represented Webster’s High School and are linked to an extra-curricular club at the school
• Young Volunteer(s) of the Year
• Volunteer(s) of the Year
• Team of the Year
• Lifetime Achievement Award
• Sports Personality of the Year.
